Why Workplace Equality Means More Than Numbers

As Women’s Month draws to a close, we’ve found ourselves doing more than just marking a date on the calendar, we’ve been reflecting.

In an industry where female representation may not be rare, it’s easy to throw around numbers like 60% of our workforce being women, or nearly half of our recent promotions going to women, and assume that’s the whole story. But the truth is: representation alone isn’t the end goal. It’s just the beginning.

At Intogreat, we believe celebrating women in the workplace should be about more than sharing a few feel-good statistics. It should be about the systems we build, the access we create, and the policies we invest in that actually make equality possible—not just visible.

Moving Beyond the Metrics

Yes, 5 out of 9 members of our Executive Leadership Team are women. Yes, women make up 60% of our global workforce. And yes, more women than men were promoted this past quarter.

But none of those numbers matter if the people behind them don’t feel seen, supported, or safe.

Workplace equality doesn’t come from simply hiring more women—it comes from consciously creating a culture where women can grow, lead, and thrive on their own terms.

So, What Are We Actually Doing?

We know that real equity doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through intention and investment. That’s why we’ve put meaningful policies in place to support women—not just during Women’s Month, but all year round.

Here are a few of the initiatives we’re actively implementing:

  • Gender-Based Sexual Violence Policy
Protection from harassment, assault, and discrimination is essential. We’ve implemented clear pathways for reporting, support, and accountability.
  • Magna Carta of Women
As part of our operations in the Philippines, we align with this national law to actively promote women’s rights and safeguard against gender-based discrimination.
  • Solo Parent Leave
Recognising that many women carry the primary load of childcare, we offer additional leave days to solo parents to help ease that responsibility.
  • Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity Policy
Our commitment to fair treatment and inclusion spans across gender, race, background, and ability—because we know real innovation comes from different perspectives.
  • Breastfeeding Policy + Lactation Stations
For new mothers, returning to work can be challenging. We provide dedicated spaces for breastfeeding and milk expression, and normalise their use across all offices.
  • Expanded Maternity Leave
We offer extended maternity leave, so our team members have the time they need to recover, bond, and begin this new chapter with dignity and support.

These aren’t just policies—they’re proof of action. And that action is ongoing.

Looking Ahead

There’s still work to do. But we’re proud of the groundwork we’re laying to ensure equality is a daily commitment.

As we wrap up Women’s Month, our message is simple: equality isn’t something we celebrate once a year. It’s something we work at—every day.

Let’s keep going. Let’s keep listening. Let’s keep building a workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, has the support they need to lead, grow, and thrive.
